Arrangement Principle of Sculpture Display Area

The People’s Republic of China is a unified country of multiple ethnic groups founded with joint efforts of all people. In the course of long-term development in history, due to interactions and migrations among the ethnic groups, the distribution of the ethnic groups is characterised by widespread dispersion and small-scale settlement with ethnic groups living together with other ethnic groups. This sculpture display area is divided by the regions of distribution into areas as follows:

The Northeast Region (7 ethnic groups)
The Northwest Region (14 ethnic groups)
The Southwest Region (25 ethnic groups)
The Central and Southeast Region (9 ethnic groups)
The Central Plain Region (1 ethnic group)

With reference to the above distribution of ethnic groups, the ethnic sculptures with distinctive characteristics are placed in the corresponding areas in the Sculpture Park of the Chinese Ethnics to visually demonstrate the overall distribution of ethnic groups in China.
