Rua do Regedor begins at Rua do Pai Kok in the south and ends at the T-shape intersection between Rua da Ponte Negra and Largo dos Bombeiros in the northeast. It is flanked by shops and stalls, with the majority of them selling food and souvenirs. 

To the right of the street are a mix of old and contemporary buildings in different heights. There are a few squares nearby, namely Largo Governador Tamagnini Barbosa, Largo Camões and Largo dos Bombeiros. 

The buildings lining the eastern and western sides vary greatly in architectural style. The ones on the east were built on land reclaimed from the sea around the old downtown of Taipa during early 20th century. They bear witness to the vicissitudes of Taipa along the decades. As for those on the western side, they were constructed on lands reclaimed in late 20th century.
