Rua do Campo
This area is located in the valley between Guia and Mount Fortress. Rainwater ran from the mountain hillside down to the bottom of the valley, and the area thus became known as "Campo"(bottom of the puddle). In 1869, Rua do Campo became the official name of the street.
The most famous architecture on the street is the Kou’s Mansion. Macao’s first Chinese library—"Reading Room of the Macao Chamber of Commerce" (commonly known as the "Octagonal Library")—is located at the southern end of Rua do Campo.
