The “Food Safety and Environmental Hygiene Advanced Course” will be held on 14th and 15th April for participants who have completed the “Food Safety and Environmental Hygiene Basic Course” to gain more comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of controlling food safety risks and understand the principles. The 5-hour Advanced Course is free of charge and runs for two days. A “Certificate of Attendance” will be awarded to participants who have completed the Advanced Course. Members of food sector who have completed the Basic Course are welcome to enrol for the Advanced Course.
 
The “Food Safety and Environmental Hygiene Advanced Course” will be held from 2:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. on 14th and 15th April at the Trade Zone of the Department of Food Safety of IAM, located on the first floor of Iao Hon Hawkers’ Building. In addition to further elaboration on the contents covered in the Basic Course, the Advanced Course will look into the important food safety practices which are easily overlooked in day-to-day work, and talk about the “Food Safety Law”, formulation and implementation of food safety standards, food traceability management, food safety risks control and hygiene management. Participants will also learn how to identify signs of rodents, practice effective methods for prevention and control of rodent infestation, and take contingency responses to situations such as power outage and flooding.
 
In compliance with the preventive measures against the pandemic, all participants are required to check body temperature on site, wear a face mask and hold a valid “Macao Health Code” before entering the venue. Alternately, they can also submit the Enrolment Form in person to the Trade Zone of the Department of Food Safety of IAM, located on the first floor of Iao Hon Hawkers’ Building, or the Public Services Centres of IAM in different districts during office hours. The enrolment period begins today until 1st April. Since there are limited seats in the Advanced Course, it gives out on a first come, first served basis.
