Avenida do Almirante Lacerda
Avenida do Almirante Lacerda begins at the intersection of Avenida do Conselheiro Borja and Estrada do Arco in the north and ends at the intersection of Travessa dos Estaleiros, Rua da Harmonia and Rua da Ribeira do Patane in the south. It measures 1040 metres in length, varying from 14 metres to 19 metres in width and curves from the northeast towards the southwest direction. “Lacerda” stands for “Hugo de Lacerda”, a Portuguese rear admiral who was appointed to be the acting Governor of Macao in December 1926. The Lin Fong Temple, Lin Zexu Memorial Museum of Macao, the funeral home of Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association and the Lin Fong Sports Centre are located to the north of the street while its southern section has a mix of industrial, commercial and residential buildings. The well-known Long Wa Teahouse and Almirante Lacerda Market (commonly known as Red Market) are also located along this street.
