Rua do Lilau
Lilau is a city block at the northern foot of Colina da Penha, encompassing Largo do Lilau and some streets on its peripheral.
Constructed during the mid-19th century, Rua do Lilau was recorded in the Macau Government Gazette dated 26th July 1869.
In the early days, the Chinese settled in the area around Lilau. Arriving later, Portuguese began settling along the water. Upon witnessing the sweet spring water gushing out of Lilau, the Portuguese then began building homes around the well, settling there for several hundred years. began settling along the water.
