To cultivate public awareness of the importance of personal cleanliness and community’s and environmental hygiene, and to encourage public participation in city cleaning and environmental protection work, on 18 November 2012 IAM established the “Friends of Macao City” volunteer team. Through a variety of events, training courses and opportunities to serve other people, IAM cultivates team members’ sense of belonging to Macao and their concern for environmental cleanliness, and trains them to be role models. It is hoped that the volunteers can take the initiative to be publicity ambassadors to promote environmental hygiene and conservation of the environment.
