The Taipa Ponte Negra Activity Centre, located in Rua da Ponte Negra, Bairro Social da Taipa, Bloco 11, r/c, Taipa, is open to the public from now on, and people in the district are welcome to use it.
Taking up an area of about 175 square metres, the Taipa Ponte Negra Activity Centre is equipped with a reading area, a computer area and an activity room, and provides a variety of newspapers of the day and magazines for the public to read. It is hoped to provide a comfortable leisure space for the people in the district. The opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, including weekends and public holidays, except for the Chinese New Year holiday. The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will also launch interest classes in Taipa as planned to enrich the leisure life of the public.
IAM has currently set up nine activity centres in the Macau Peninsula and Coloane to provide indoor leisure venues for people in different districts, which have gained huge popularity. As a way to continuously optimise municipal facilities in different districts, IAM has optimised and renovated the former conference rooms of Conselho Consultivo de Serviços Comunitários das Ilhas to set up the Taipa Ponte Negra Activity Centre and reopen it for public use.
