IAM organises two plant distribution activities on Saturday

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will distribute flowers to the public for free at the side of Flower City Park in Taipa (Rua de Coimbra) and Dr. Sun Yat Sen Municipal Park on 14 January (Saturday) after the festivals, hoping to extend the life of the plants and raise public awareness of plant protection. Members of the public are welcome to participate in the activities.

IAM plants and places different kinds of festive plants in everywhere in the city during festivals and important occasions to beautify the city and improve the quality of life of the public. After the festivals, some of the greening materials are recycled or replanted, while withered or uncultivable plants are sent to local composting sites for disposal.

In order to optimise the management of plants after the festivals and make good use of local greening resources, IAM plans to distribute flowers to the public for free at the side of Flower City Park in Taipa (Rua de Coimbra) and Dr. Sun Yat Sen Municipal Park (near the pond at the main entrance) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. respectively on 14 January (Saturday) after the festivals. The plants distributed this time are Poinsettia, and are available on a first come, first served basis. For enquiries, members of the public may call IAM’s Civic Service Hotline at 2833 7676.
